I’ve been working for the National Trust for the last three years as the Contemporary Arts Programme Manager (North). I led the Trust New Art in programme in the North, commissioning artists to explore heritage, contemporary society and climate change across countless properties and places, working in partnership with a range of organisations, artists and communities, including academic research and an evaluation framework with MHM Insights to evidence the benefits of the arts to the broader work of the Trust.  The programme is supported by the Arts Council of England https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/features/trust-new-art-exhibitions-and-events.

However due to Covid-19 the National Trust has had to make savings and that included my role. I’ve loved my time working for this organisation and all the amazing commissions with fantastic colleagues, artists and of course those special places. I’ll post more about the work I’ve been up to on my web site in the coming months. It’s always sad to leave but I do love a new adventure.
