Woolly Artwork inspired by a landscape painting Horizon, Warwick Hall by artist Bridget Cox exhibited at Dunthwaite Barn, Sethmurthy, Cockermouth 10-16th August 2013.
The idea came about when Cathy met the exhibition organizer and resident of this beautiful National Trust property Annabel Lewis.
The artwork uses local sheep’s wool and was dyed and woven by various local community and school groups in Cockermouth and Keswick, between June-August. It took about 30 hours to make with the wool dyeing experimentation being the trickiest. Who thought blue would be such a hard colour to dye?
